The film and and television industry in Oklahoma is booming with business doubling, even tripling, in some areas of the state. From Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" staring Leonardo Dicaprio, which is currently crewing up for a March start date, through to Stillwater starring Matt Damon which just wrapped in Oklahoma City.
If you have ever dreamed of working in film and television, now is your chance. Productions are actively seeking Oklahoma based crew.
HOW DO OFTA COURSES WORK?
OFTA courses are specifically designed to teach the practical skills and knowledge wanted by employers in the industry. Our faculty is made up of Hollywood industry veterans who have worked on some of the biggest movies and won some of the most coveted awards so nothing we teach is theory - it is all grounded in what you really need to know for your first day on the job.
Split into three modules, each module lasts 4 weeks and consists of a minimum of 2 x 3 hour lessons per week taught at Green Pastures Studio in Oklahoma City. Specialization and experience modules may require longer lessons depending on the specialization.
4 week base level understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to work on a film and television production. (required for all other steps)
Niche training in on-demand roles for Oklahoma productions. Ideal participants have transferable experience from other industries.
Hands on experience working on one of three feature films produced annually at Green Pastures Studios providing you with your first industry credit.
